Open Access Policy and Submission Fees

Impact Journal is a fully open access journal. All articles published in the journal are freely available online immediately upon publication, without any subscription or access restrictions. This ensures maximum visibility and accessibility of the research to the global community.

While the journal does not charge Article Processing Charges (APC) for accepted manuscripts, a mandatory submission fee is required to support the editorial and technical management of submitted manuscripts. In addition, authors have the option to request a Fast Processing Service to expedite the online publication of their article.

Submission Fee

Effective June 1, 2026, the following non-refundable submission fees apply:

Author Category Submission Fee (USD, VAT included)
University of Hargeisa Faculty Staff $30
Non-University of Hargeisa Staff $50
PhD-level Students Free

Payment Guidelines:

  • Payment must be completed during the online submission process.

  • Only credit card payments are accepted.

  • Responsibility for completing the payment lies with the corresponding author.

  • The submission fee is mandatory for all manuscripts, regardless of the editorial outcome. Manuscripts will not enter the editorial review process until the payment has been received.

  • Please note: The submission fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including manuscript rejection or voluntary withdrawal by the authors.

Optional Fast Processing Service

Authors may request the Fast Processing Service, which guarantees “online first” publication with a permanent DOI before the full issue is published.

  • Fee: $250 USD (VAT included)

  • Payment methods: Credit card or PayPal

This service provides an official citation-ready URL for the article, ensuring timely visibility and indexing.

Manuscript Withdrawal

Authors retain the right to withdraw a manuscript at any stage prior to publication by sending a formal written request to the journal’s editorial office at editor@impactjournal.org, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal.

Please note that the submission fee remains non-refundable, regardless of the withdrawal or editorial decision.
